let your toes breathe in style

It's time.  Time to bust out the sandals and walk around like you just don't care.  It's been in the eighties here the last couple of days and this heat wave has me busting out some of my favorite sandals.
Wore my pair to work today and got a whole slew of comments.

These are no ordinary sandals.  These babies have straps that are interchangeable, you know, to suit your mood or complete your outfit.

They can also be tied in a multitude of ways, oh, the versatility.

The best thing about these sandals is that they are making a difference.  That's right.  These sandals are made by some incredibly special Ugandan women who are working for a future, working to make some money for university.

These shoes are a product of Sseko designs.  My friend, Liz, and her husband, Ben, started the company and have grown it from the ground up.

"Sseko Designs is a not-just-for-profit enterprise that recognizes the power of business and responsible consumerism to support sustainable economic development, which in turn affects a country's educational, justice, and health care systems. The goal of Sseko Designs is two-fold: provide university tuition for these promising young women through a sustainable monthly income, while also contributing to the overall economic development of Uganda."

There you have it, Sseko sandals not only make your feet happy but your heart too.  Check out their website and grab yourself a pair today!

  1. I love my Ssekos. Shows you that even grannies can wear them. Did I really say that?? I mean young, modern, hip grandmothers.
