Sights and Sounds of the Season

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
How the Jaeger children love thee.
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
it's a wonder you're still standing.
 Your branches provide
the perfect spot,
for hiding from Mom -
or little tots.
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
I want to climb your branches.
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
I wonder how far I can push thee.
 When mom's not looking
we steal a ball
and hide it in
corners no one knows.
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
you really make our day
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
don't ever go away.

Letting go of the perfection of a lovely, decorated tree and holding on to the preciousness of an imperfect, sparse, crooked, loved on tree.  Hope you're enjoying this Advent season with all the wonder and joy of a child.
